Broome

Today we went camel riding these two camels are Zara the one in the first and Rodney in the back.  Mum and I rode Zara and Dad and Jess rode Rodney. We got the front two camels. It was amazing and it was really relaxing and I could have rode them forever.

This is us on our two camels, the sunset was great and the camel were so peaceful and relax.  And at the end we even got to feed them a carrot. I was too scared to feed the carrot to Zara, so Jess had to.

Before the camel riding though, we went on a Pearl luggers tour-- which was very interesting-- and we went to the Broome Museum, which was quant. We had the best chilli crab and barramundi ever for dinner. A fun fun day!!

Eighty Mile Beach

Today we drove to 80 mile beach, first Jess and I went down to the beach and felt the water. It felt nice then, we went for a walk on the beach and found lots of shells. We got attacked by “killer” fish—they were out to get us, just because we were swimming in winter!!

Jess and I swimming

This is down at the beach at sunset it was very big and bright and was right on the water. It was nice and hot today, I think it got to around 25-29 degrees Celsius (in the middle of winter!!!)

Karijini

Today, we went lots of gorges. This is the first one, it was really fun clambering all over the rocks and water. We got to do spider walking on walls and walking through water and climbing down and up rocks on one of them.
Joffre Falls

This is the spider walk we had to have one foot on one side and the other side and at the end there was a pool that you could swim in.
Hancock Gorge

This is one of the many water falls we had to climb down rock and cross rivers to get to it.

Forescue Falls

We had heaps of fun today adventuring the Gorges and what the beautiful sights they showed us. They were magical (as Mum would put it)!!!

Exmouth

Today we went swimming with Whale sharks, Whale sharks are the biggest fish of the sea and they are the very gentle. This is Dad, Jess, Mum and I on the boat going out.

This is me snorkelling before we went swimming with the whale sharks. It was amazing all the fish and the coral.

This was how far out we were when we went in the water. The first time we went in I was a bit scared but when we got in it was amazing.

The whale shark tour was amazing, we learnt so much. We learnt things such as; the whale sharks that visit the Ningaloo reef are only juvenile males, meaning they only reach around 10-12m. A full grow whale shark can grow up to 18-20m and can live (estimation) from around 80-170 years old.

Minilya

MADS AND I GOT TO FEED THE DOLPHINS!!! We woke up early to go to the first encounter with the dolphins, there would have been over a hundred people there. The dolphins came so close to you e.g. within 2 metres distance. They were so curious and tame and so graceful and calm, you really just wanted to pat it however, you couldn't pat them. We didn't get chosen to feed the dolphins on this encounter. However...
This is Nicky. She is the oldest dolphin of 38 years old, and has lost 7 of her 9 babies due to undernourishment.

We were soo cold from the water that we got hot chocolates! Yum!!

On the second encounter, Mads and I were THE CHOSEN ONES and got to feed the dolphins!!!! Yay, yay, yay, yay!! *happy dancing* We got to feed Puck, they think Puck is having a baby. Nicky was back and Puck was babysitting icky's baby, Missel.

Me feeding Puck

After we got to feed the dolphins we left Monkey Mia and had a look at the shell block buildings in Denham. We also went to Shark Bay which -sadly- had no sharks in it! :(

We went to Shell beach. A beach made out of all shells!! It was really cool!! We aslo saw stromlatites (not very good). And Carnarvon, where it is summer everyday of te year!! (not too sure about that fact so don't quote me!!)

Monkey Mia

We drove from our rest stop (which was 200km south of Denham) to Denham and Monkey Mia.
We first stopped a Denham and had a quick look around town. After Denham we went to Monkey Mia!!!

Monkey Mia is really pretty and an absolutely amazing natural wonder. It is fair to say that I see why it was made a World Heritage Site. It definitely needs to be preserved for future generations!!

As we were going on a walk along the beach we saw some dolphins frolicking in the water and putting on quite a show!!

On the second walk we did not only did we see dolphins, but we also saw a sting ray with a bite out of him, pelcans and other birds and A SHARK!!!!! It was really cool because a first we thought the shark was a dolphin but later on we relised that it wasn't a dolphin it was in fact a shark!!
The dead sting ray

We went out for dinner tonight and the view for the resturant was gorguous!!

We went on some walks and saw "Nature's window", a valley in the shape of a 'z' and lots of zebra rock. The walks were fun and we got to see he wonders of nature from thousands of years of weatherinng and erosion.

The Next Day...... Sorry we have lost track of the days and what happened when....
So here we are in Albany. This is a big town as it was the major port for all the gold miners coming from Europe on their way to Kalgoorlie looking for gold.
This is called "the Bridge" as it has been made naturally from millions of year of erosion. It was very cool.

The Bridge

Jess, Mum and Madi and if you look just past Jess's hand into the far distance that is the most southern point of Western Australia. We saw Hump back whales migrating from here.

Here in Albany they used to hunt whales until it was banned in 1978. We went the Whaling Museum which was an actual working Whale station. This is a Pygmy Blue whale (pictured) only 22metres long, yes a small one! But they hunted Sperm and Blue whales until they were extinct. It was sad to see, but good thats its now ceased.
 Day 5.....Esperance.
From Kalgoorlie we drove south to Esperance. We drove through wheat fields. We went to the National Park and stayed at a place called Lucky Bay. We saw Kangaroos on the beach and we got up close and patted them, they are used to humans I think. This picture Mum took at sunrise (Madi was still sleeping!!)

This is inside our van. Dad is making a cuppa. For a Unicorn???

These are the roos we patted. The water here is so aqua blue, its gorgeous. By Michelle

Day 3 -Wave Rock
Today we explored Wave Rock, which was absolutely incredible!!! It was 15 metres tall and had a lovely redish-brown colour to it. It was hard to fathom that through wind, time and erosion that a rock was formed into the shape of a wave, which is now a popular tourist site and a natural wonder. We went 'surfing' -because that's the only wave we can surf!! ;)

After walking around for a bit, we went and saw Hippo's Yawn. Which was again really gorgeous and another natural wonder. Did you know that in about a million years the Hippo will stop yawning (from erosion it will collaspe)?

The rest of the day we drove. We drove from Wave Rock to Kalgoorlie, a major mining town.

When we arrived in Kalgoorlie, we went and saw the Super Pit!! The world's largest open pit mine!! It could hold 99 times Australia's population!!

day 2 perth city

In London court everything was old and the shops were very old and  there was lots of history in every building.

At  Cottesloe Beach it was amazing beach with beach huts and the water was crystal clear.

Mum and Jess at the beach on the rocks.

On the beach and that is the beach hut and in the back around is the club house and it was very big.

A photo of the beach and there was lots of seaweed.

A cool photo of the water  splashing up on the rocks at Cottesloe.

In Perth there is not many people and when we were walking around, nine news asked to interveiw us, so we are on television. Perth is amazing and has very beautiful views. We are off to wave rock on Tuesday, which should be exciting!! We went to a chocolate factory, called Murrary River Chocolate Company, there were free taste testers (BONUS!!!:) Along with a nut and fudge place, called Morish, which was very yummy and we also got free taste testers (loving the free food)!! Western Australia has gorgeous beaches and is not as busy and crowded as Sydney- however I think our beaches are better!!
